Convenor for NDA Stakeholder Engagement
November saw the latest National Stakeholder Group meeting taking place in Newcastle. Over 100 people attended, from all sectors. The main objectives of the meeting were to discuss key challenges facing the NDA and discuss topics in the NDA's Engagement Programme.
Elements of the NDA's Engagement Programme discussed, were:
- NDA Strategy Review
- Asset Strategy
- Skills Strategy
- Integrated Waste Strategy
- Value Framework
- Draft Business Plan
The Nuclear Decommissioning Authority launched its draft Business Plan for 2008/11 for consultation on the 7th November 2007. The draft Business Plan outlines the key challenges and priorities for the NDA.
The online consultation will close on 31 January 2008.
Cambridgeshire Stakeholder Workshops
A series of stakeholder workshops have been organised between November and February throughout Cambridgeshire to understand the views of stakeholders in relation to congestion. The workshops examine Cambridgeshire County Council's vision and allow participants to focus on solutions for dealing with congestion in Cambridge and creating a sustainable transport network.
At the end of each of our workshops we produce a transcript outlining points that were raised and issues discussed. If a series of workshops are run on the same topic we find it is useful to produce a summary report outlining the issues that were raised over all the events and stating where the greatest strength of feeling on an issue may have been. A report such as this can then be used alongside comments received via other methods to map the way forward.
